November break ended today, and I am happily back in my dorm. I noticed...I skip through the halls instead of walking. How interesting. Don't let me fool you, though. I did have a good break. Spent lots of time with Matt, as he got over being sick, and got to see some other friends. It was a good time. But all-in-all, I'm glad to be here.

I have a couple homework assignments I need to post! I realized that I forgot to post last weeks, while I was getting ready to do this weeks. Eee!

Last week I decided the assignment was to draw in the dark. It proved quite interesting. Marc's ended up pretty good. Mine, however...bleh. Notice, when I wrote "orange juice" the first time I spelled it "geuce". Huh...
(Don't forget to click to enlarge all these!)

This week, Marc had us draw a holiday-themed picture with a quote from a movie of our choosing. I of course had to go for a quote from Tideland. I think I did the picture in a little bit of a rush, because I think that the quote has more potential than I allowed, and I intend to re-do it...once I get by all this...term paper...hoo-hah. Yes.

And now for the regular old stuff.

I was inspired by the presentation of Asylum Man in Marc's last post, and so I decided to subject you to a creation of mine that came to be when I was a small child. His name is Voltar, and he used to have a very messy room in which I would always draw him sitting on top of piles of assorted crap. He was my simple little dude.

Next up is a piece I drew in the car on the way to Matt's family's thanksgiving. I saved the inking for later, for when I was not riding in a car. It is of Matt and I outside of a guitar shop in wintertime.

And as you may or may not know, I heart traditional/Sailor Jerry-type tattoos a lot. I decided I wanted to learn to draw in that style. So here is my first shot, and I plan on lots more to come! So, here is "true until death":

Last, but not least, a hastily-drawn comic inspired by real life. It's colored with the fab little markers Matt gave to me. Yay!

Thanks for reading and possibly voting on my silly polls!
I appreciate it, andddd as always I'll leave you with the words of that great R. Crumb:

Don't forget to wipe your ass, kids!
